GTA san andreas not running steam?
Well, I am trying to run GTA San Andreas on Steam, but it wont run. I got it to run once, but I can't anymore. Right now I am viewing it's integrity, and I still haven't tried to restart my computer. I am running on Windows 8, could that cause any problems? If I click on it once, nothing happens. if I double+ click it, it says "failed to open (app already running)" or something like that. Thanks!

Go to My Documents
In there look for the folder called GTA San Andreas User Files
In there look for the file called gta_sa.set and delete it. (This will reset all settings to default so you will need to reconfigure screen resolution and control settings etc.)
Occasionally that file becomes corrupt, the game will create a new one when you next start the game. See if that fixes it.

When you go into your Steam library are there two versions of the game? Because one version does not work but the other does. So you should see two "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" in your library but only one works. It is the one with more contributions.

I would yell at you for using Windows 8, but I won't.
I don't know if this will entirely work, but my friend tried this and it fixed his issue, but wouldn't work on another game he had
go into your library, then right click the game, select properties. click the local files tab and press the verify integrity of game cache
If that doesn't work I'd set a forum up on the Steam site, more likely hundreds have had the same problem
