Will a specific bass pedal work with a regular guitar?

Right now, I'm just checking out some more pedals/effects to add to the collection. There are 2 pedals I'm curious about: The "Electro harmonix Micro Synth" and the "Bass Micro Synth". I honestly really like the "bass-y-er", lower octave sound that the bass synth produces compared to the regular guitar synth (Obviously I am using this on a guitar, and not a bass). Kind of like using a bass wah. It still does what a normal Wah Pedal would do, but it drops that pitch, and gives a bit of a different tone and feel to it as well. I like that deep synth sound you get with the demos I've seen on the bass synth, and I am wondering if it will sound fine on a guitar, and I want to ensure it won't damage my pedals, amp, guitar, etc. Will a bass pedal (or more particularly, this pedal) work on a regular guitar? I would like to know before I drop $300+ on a bass pedal, to find out it doesn't work. Thanks in advance!

The outputs levels from guitars and bass guitars are identical, same goes for their effects pedals (though you have to be aware of active and passive outputs.

The thing is though, that the sound you are pumping into the pedal is determined by the guitar in question, and the difference between the pedals is that they accentuate the frequencies that already exist. So if I put my bass effect pedal into an "electro synth" mode and plug in a standard guitar, it's a much weaker sound than the bass would produce!
