Will my slip on mufflers sound change over time?
I just put new fishtail slip on mufflers on my 06 harley FLHXI and they sound a bit "tinny" when i first get on the throttle. Is that something that wil change after they get hot for a while and the insides of the pipes get coated with carbon?

That "tinny" sound you are hearing is the infamous natural sound of FISHTAILS. If you dislike a baffled fishtail sound, you should hear what straight-through fishtails sound like....*S-H-I-T*.
Not only that, thae fishtail end reduces performance and power. The soundwave physics of the exhaust pulse and the fishtail end do work work well together.
Get used to it or change mufflers.
