How do you put a website on your desktop please?

E.g, instead of going through 'google' how to put the 'facebook' logo/icon, whatever is called; on my desktop.

In ABC terms thanks!

    Step 1: Open the internet

    Step 2: Type in the web address of the website you're wanting to put on your desktop

    Step 3: Click ENTER so you go the website

    Once your webpage has loaded:

    Step 4: Click FILE

    Step 5: Move your mouse pointer down to where the word "Send" is BUT DON"T CLICK YET

    Step 6: When you move your mouse pointer down to "send" a new window will appear to the right and it'll say: Page By e-mail, Link by e-mail, Shortcut to Desktop.

    Step 7: You need to CLICK ON "SHORTCUT TO DESKTOP"

    Step 8: A message will pop up asking you "Do you want to put a shortcut to this website on your desktop?"

    Step 9: CLICK YES
