Recipe for Oatmeal cookies?
Hi,I've searched for a recipe for peanut butter oatmeal bars (squares) that exclude brown sugar and can not find one anywhere on here. Does anyone have a recipe for peanut butter oatmeal bars (squares) that does not require brown sugar or has a substitute that does not include molasses? Unfortunately I am out of molasses and brown sugar and do not know of a substitute that can be used for brown sugar that doesn't involve molasses. I also don't have syrup :( Due to the huge amount of snow I'm not able to get to the store today,so I was just curious if anyone has a good recipe for these that either doesn't call for brown sugar or a substitution that doesn't need syrup or molasses. I know its a long shot but thanks for any info :)

The food.com web page presents a recipe for 'Delicious Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Bars', and does not call for molasses. You can substitute granulated sugar for the brown sugar, but you might want to make the amount less than the one cup called for, just to keep the sweetness down.
