laptop tech 2013!!??! tech geek pleaseeee?

i've been hearing ALOT about the new amazing tech that will remake laptops as we know it. but, im not a tech geek, so, what will the specs be on those new laptops? and does anyone know when it'll be released?

ALSO, im looking for a decent gaming laptop with i7 core with good grapics, like running bf3 or crisis on ultra under or a little over 1,000. HELP PLEASE!

OH, and what brand of laptop is best? i've heard that HP is horrible but i honestly do not know, some advice in what to look for would be nice! THANKS

    personally i have to go with the lenovo y580, ive played on one before and they run amazing. i was playing saints row the third on it all settings up no lag with constant 50+FPS. they gave a gtx 650 which might not sound like much but they pack a punch, and a i7 processor. plus they don't even cost a grand. either that or a sager as they have interchangeable graphics cards for the future and by my knowledge are very well built.

    and btw you answered my question wrong because i have no sleep mode on ubuntu

    Toshiba and Sony Vaio are the ultimate BEST for anything multimedia. They design their computers around video editing, music production, and gaming.

    HP is actually quite good but their bios is locked so you cant change important settings.
