Since Jesus ascended bodily (and bloodless) 10 days before Pentecost, why is there so much speculation?

Why is there so much speculation as to the day of the ascension of those referred to as "the body of Christ"? And wouldn't it cause loose bowels if we all left a pink mist? Multiple explanations for our departure already exist. Some will say it's Earth purging itself of undesirable elements so that those left behind can progress to the next evolutionary level. Some will take the ufo abduction path.

in my life, i have only met one or two people that said jesus was ascended only in spirit.

the bible has a verse which says such people are not true disciples or soemthing like that.

i do believe jesus was resurrected, where the spirit is joined to the body, for eternity, and he resides in his unchanging body, resurrected, to this day.

and i do find that jesus said he had a body of flesh and bone. so many have concluded that a resurrected body does not have blood.

i believe he ascended in this eternal unchanging body just as two angels declared that he would come again but down from heaven.
