I have a question about omelette's at IHOP?

I've heard that IHOP mixes pancake batter in with the eggs they use in their omelette's. Is this true and why would they do that? For texture? Makes the omelette larger/fluffier without adding more eggs?

Yes, they use a little batter- it is supposed to stabilize the omelette.
