Was writing a very long document yesterday, had it on desktop, now it's gone!?
I was writing like this 4 page long thing, took me so many hours. I put so much work into it, saved it every 5 seconds, and now the whole damn thing is gone! I don't know where it went.
I checked every folder on my desktop, and the recycle bin. It wasn't there. Can someone please help me get this back?! It was really important to me.

If it's not in your Recycle Bin, then it's still somewhere on your drive. You need to check your Temp folders, and the Recent Documents list in your word processing program.
Don't forget the obvious either; do a Search on the filename from the Start Menu Search Window. That's the easiest way to track it down.
