How to be properly fluent in french?

Je parle un peu francais.

I've been taking french in school for about four years now, and I had to drop the class for next year to fit in more required classes. Anyways, I don't want to forget everything I have learned. Also, I would like to be more comfortable speaking it, as my strong suit is mostly reading and writing. I do know quite a lot of the language, but I want to be able to hold a conversation. Any advice on how to make this easier? Thanks in advance!

(Any other advice regarding becoming fluent in a language would be much appreciated! :))

best way is to move to Quebec or France for a month or two or three, but if you are a student you probably can't afford to :(

    otherwise

in Canada for example there is a good government funded french immersion program in Quebec during the summer for any Canadian citizen enrolled in high school(grade 11+) or college/university

in America there are no good government funded programs i know of so you are out of luck

Source(s): i took french from grade 1-10... couldn't speak much french from that, but I moved to Quebec for a little over a month last summer (all paid for by the gov, socialism is great xD) and now i'm fluent and the course was fun too :) ...... well i can speak almost fluently, but my writing in french still sucks

I learned French once. For about a year. And now I can only remember some of them. I want to pick it up as you.
