What is a good way to go to Tucson Arizona?

By train or by air. I am visiting a friend in June who lives in Tucson Arizona. I would say by Amtrak because there are several stops and lots of people to communicate with besides I'm sure there's lots of photo opportunities while onboard the Amtrak. The plane is the opposite. What do you say?

    depends where you live

if it is cross country, then by air

but if it is less than a day train trip, then I'd go by train

I lived in Tucson for 7 years and the first time traveling out of state I looked into the idea of train, I love trains and thought that would have been a good way to see the country. But I was very disappointed. The trains don't go every day, they don't go everywhere -we were going to Florida, and we would have had to go all the way up to Chicago and then back to Florida, that was the only way to take the train. A few years later I looked into it again, when we were going to California, a little better, but actually more expensive than both driving and flying....The airport in Tucson is good, small and easy to find your way around. I don't like flying, but when the alternative is train, it is definitely better.

Look into it, I haven't for a few years and I might be wrong and this information outdated.
