I've got some name questions...?

1. What do you think of the name Robert Dakota, with the nickname Robbie?

2. How would you imagine someone with this name?

3. Does this name sound like a 'gay name' to you?

BQ: What are some good middle names for Jasmine? I like the sound of Jasmine Elodie and Jasmine Rouge, but I'm not sure. Ideas?

@ Celia: I'm not being ignorant. If anything, I speak out against ignorance and bigotry as I'm part of the LGBT community. Now please stop making assumptions about people you don't even know.

The reason why I asked the third questino is because I overheard someone comment that my name sounds 'gay' and I was like WTF because I wasn't aware that names have a sexual orientation.

    1. It's acceptable. I'm not a fan of Dakota, but since it is just a middle name it does not matter as much. Robert is an upstanding name.

    2. I picture a sophisticated, mature boy who is your typical, fun loving kid with big aspirations.

    3. No. Names do not have sexual preferences.

    For the first one, I absolutely love the name Dakota, but I don't know, Dakota sounds a little girlie. But Robert is a very sweet name, no Robert is not a gay name. And I'd imagine someone with the name Robert Dakota to be a loyal, sweet, obedient kid but yeah I'm not sure about Dakota. It's not a gay name though!

    For a Jasmine middle name, how about Jasmine Maree or Jasmine Elizabeth/ Jasmine Rose?

    Does it sound "gay"? Huh? What year are you living in that you'd ask something so... ignorant and lame.?

    Robert is one of the oldest names out there. Robbie is a great nickname. If anything, I'd say Dakota is more of a unisex name these days, but I still like it for a boy.

    Jasmine Rouge sounds like a stripper. Jasmine Elodie is okay but I like Jasmine Elise better.

    Robert is too old-fashioned for my liking and Robbie is an ok nickname. I don't think Dakota is a 'gay' name but I don't think it's overly masculine either. I don't associated personalities with names so I can't answer the second question.

    I like Jasmine Rouge. Maybe Avery, Valerie, Valencia, Roxanne or Chauntelle.

    the name Rober Dakota is a really nice name, i love it, its in no way gay.

    I like Dakota though.

    It doesn't sound 'gay' but it sounds too 'old man-ish' in my opinion.

    I don't like Jasmine so i can't come up with middle names. Sorry. :/

    No your name doesn't sound "gay" I really hate when people use this term to mean "stupid" or basically the same thing.
