When God created the snake in the Garden of Eden, did he know what it was going to do?

It seems like he was setting the couple up to fail, is all.

True, but he obviously thought he was doing the right thing..which begs the question :

    Can God see everything !!

God created snakes as we see them today. They have no personality, act on instinct, and cannot speak. The snake did not do anything. The spirit now known as Satan the Devil used the snake as a puppet to speak to Eve and deceive her. 1 Timothy 2:14: "Adam was not deceived, but the woman was thoroughly deceived and came to be in transgression." Jehovah God did not plan for this to happen, and even though he has the ability to foresee events learning how loving, just, and righteous He is, he'd never do such a thing.

Not one of the 3 beings (Satan, Eve, nor Adam) mention above were forced into their actions or decisions to rebel. These three perfect beings were given the right to decide for themselves, as we still are given the right to this day. Jehovah God does not force anyone to worship him. Deuteronomy 30:19, 20:  I do take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against YOU today, that I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the malediction; and you must choose life in order that you may keep alive, you and your offspring,  by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice and by sticking to him; for he is your life and the length of your days". He allows us to choose. And this is more evidence of the type of God Jehovah is.

He only wants the best for us and loves his human creations dearly. He's the personification of love (1 John 4:8). God's purpose is for us to live happily in a world free of crime, sickness, death, etc Genesis 1:26-28. However, when Satan CHOSE to challenge Jehovah's right to rule and Adam and Eve CHOSE to disobey, Jehovah plan was postponed to settle these matters.

James 1:13: When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone". God is never the cause of our problems, believing/teaching that is what paints Jehovah God as an unattractive, unloving, distant being. That description couldn't be further from the truth.

Yep, considering he's all knowing. That means, he knew exactly what was going to happen to Adam and Eve and the rest of his creation, and how by putting the tree and allowing the snake to be there he destroyed his own creation. He could've easily prevented it.
