Growing vegetables in an apartment without a balcony?
Trying to find some ideas/ways to grow vegetables indoors. I'm curious about the ability to grow beets, broccoli raab, etc. indoors in a sort of "winter garden" in limited space as they aren't easy to come by in Copenhagen, Denmark. Advice and ideas would be fabulous as the only thing I run across seem to be articles on growing flowers or herbs indoors.

You would have to use an indoor garden shelving unit, and use gro-lights on it. I've grown beets outdoors, but doubt if the cost would be worthwhile trying to grow indoors especially if you have limited space. If those veggies aren't easy to come by in Denmark, there's a very good reason why. If commercial growers won't grow them in hothouses where the temperature and light can be controlled, there isn't much chance of you being able to grow a couple of veggies in your home.
I'm sure frozen and tinned varieties of these veggies must be expensive, but they'd still be better than trying to grow them indoors.
See if there's a gardening club advertised in your local library - the members would be the best to advise on your idea. Good luck.
