Golden Retriever - 8 yrs old. HELP!?
My roommate has a wonderful golden retriever, male. He's a little big, but probably just a little over optimum weight. He has a bad hip, but recently he hasn't been eating too well. He vomits a lot. He's got the white pus in his eyes and nose, keeping him from smelling or hearing too well. I try what I can to tempt him to eat and do something besides sleep, to make him happy. The last two days he's barely eaten anything.
Any suggestions? Is there like a doggy allergy pill we can give him? We can't really afford veterinary care, so something that we can do at home would be best.

I love dogs more than I love being alive, so I would take him to a good vet right away. I would spend every sent I had on my dog. I don't care about costs, I love dogs so much, I'd give up everything I have to help him.

Most vets offer payment options, sort of like a loan. You can make payments monthly until it's paid off. If he's that sick, it would be a really good idea to take him to the vet.
