how many pounds of hamburger for one can of sloppy joe mix?

    it will take one pound of ground meat per can.

    I agree about reading the directions but I might add that getting an envelope of McCormack's Sloppy Joe Mix, a can of tomato paste and a pound of hamburg is much better than that canned crap.

    Just one. :o) You could probably do just fine with 1/2 lb and add a small 8 oz. can of tomato sauce and a teaspoon of brown sugar to stretch it, hamburger being so expensive these days.
