Why do people ask so many questions when all it takes is Google or a history book!?!?!?

THANK YOU! I ask that question too when I see simple academic questions. Even if they are questions like when did this happen? Or how did this happen in history? Just google it. Some questions I understand why they ask on yahooanswers because they are your opinion or non-academic questions that you cannot find on google. However I get tired of seeing people put homework questions on yahooanswers when they could either do it themselves or google it.

When I read the questions asked on this site, there are many times I ask myself the same question as you propose-- if you can type a question here, why not type the same into your search engine?

One might assume that questions are asked on this site to create the feeling of friendship and community for the person seeking answers.

It may be possible that some people do not understand how to do an internet search.

Some questions call for more than a simple internet search, and it may be easier to get someone else to research for you than do it yourself.

Google does not know everything. Not all of human knowledge is on google.
