Marriage is neither FOUNDED on religion , nor is it even controlled by religion in the free world
ancient Mesopotamian documentation clearly demonstrates that marriage was a form of contract law, some 5000 years ago. that was over a thousand years before Moses or any of the religions subsequently based on Judaism

I guess what kills me is the idea that same gender marriage is going to destroy marriage and the family. But, what percent of marriages will be same gender? 1%? 5%? Compare this to how many marriages and families are pulled apart by divorce. Approaching 50%? So why aren't their big protests to make divorces illegal? Oh, that's right, because they want to be able to divorce! If they wanted to marry someone of the same gender, this wouldn't even be an issue....

God has the copyright on marriage. God is eternal and created man.

I choose to believe what the Bible says. Marriage is between one man and one woman, orchestrated and given to man by God. This was God's plan and He instituted it. I believe this!!

Because it's called holy matrimony. Moreover there is a place in the front of your bible where you can record it. Holy matrimony in a holy bible, what could be clearer than that?
