You can actually use plug in's in edit for HFR(High Frame Rate) videography. For a recent project, we used a plug in along with FCP to create 1000fps footage. It merges frames and we are pretty happy with the results.

yes there are several cheap 240 fps camcorders available, but you might not like how they work. first they are only capable of burst recording, like several seconds, and not continuous recording at that frame rate. also it takes several seconds for the burst to be processed and loaded on the SD memory card. A normal consumer 1080p 30 fps camcorder works by recording only 1 in every 8 frames. A 240 fps recording saves all the 30 fps frames to internal memory, then expands by reformatting giving the effective frame of 8x. So such a "high speed" camera is nothing more than a normal camcorder with some extra software. It produces no better quality slo-mo than a standard miniDV camcorder which records all frames to tape to begin with.

Cameras with such specifications would cost millions of INR. They would not be cheap.
