Can a cartilage piercing get infected and close up 2 years after its been pierced?

There's a lot of crust on the front of my ear and a huge bump on the back. I'm really worried any advice helps

    Go see a reputable professional piercer. Neither thing your piercing is doing is a sign of infection. Crust is a normal part of the healing process and bumps can be a few things and is probably hypertrophic scarring. If your piercing is 2 years old it really shouldn't be producing crust so you can ask the piercer why it is doing that and what the bump is and how to treat it. A healed piercing won't get infected but any piercing has the capability of closing.
