The science and technology we produce would have no contribution to a Utopian dream if we ourselves didn't change. If we stayed in the dark, so to speak, we would use those technologies for destruction as we have been doing and will continue to do for as long as we are ignorant.

Happiness doesn't come from possessing "things". Jesus said it best when he said "There is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving (Acts 20:25). So giving of yourself to others can bring us happiness. However there is more to gaining true happiness. Jesus is one who can show us how to be truly happy. At Matthew chapter 5, Jesus gave us a list of nine happinesses.(please read in your copy of the Bible) Now these happinesses are contingent on a good relationship with our heavenly father and creator Jehovah God. Their basis is love of God and faithful obedience to him. Notice also all the things that bring us happiness in connection with serving God: Psalms 1:1,2; Ps. 2:6; Ps. 3:13,18; Ps. 16:20; Ps.41: 1,2; Ps. 94:12; Ps.106:3; and Ps. 128:1. Also note the 7 Happinesses in Revelation: 1:3; 14:13; 16:15; 19:9; 20:6; 22:7; and 22:14.
God's word the Bible gives us what we need to know in order to be truly happy. It is not in wealth, wisdom, accomplishment, or possessions. It is in knowing and serving the "Happy God"(1 Timothy 1:11)
So I encourage you to read your Bible daily and if you have questions, please check out this web site: www.jw.org

True lasting Happiness is the absence of judgment, no more, no less.
The moment that we start judging we find something to be unhappy about.
Yes, it really is that simple.
If we think that we are happy because we have judged the situation satisfactory, we will become unhappy if the situation changes.
This is false happiness
