Foods for 8 month old?

My bub is nearly 8 months old and I'm unsure of what meats (or meat juices?) I can introduce to him and how to prepare them?

Vienna sauages that are cut into pieces that are big enough for him to hold, beef jerky works great for their itchy gums. Or you can cut meat and veggies into pieces as small as you can, keep it on the stove for a few hours and then throw it in the blender until it's mush. I prepared all my son's cooked foods this way, as long as there aren't any pieces left that are big enough to choke on.

I'd give him bananas, peaches, heck almost any kind of fruit. The skin needs to be taken off and it can't be something that has small pits, like strawberries or tomatoes, but cut into pieces that are big enough for him to hold and suck on.

As long as he can hold it, it's going to go directly to his mouth. It just needs to be softer than regular foods.

While it used to be advised to wait until 8-9 months to introduce meats, the trend is now to introduce them earlier -- most up-to-date sources say that babies can have meats from 6 months, the same as any other solids. (In fact, some sources recommend it as a good first food -- it's a better source of iron than rice cereal.)

So baby can eat any meat you opt to offer him -- no need to make 'meat juice' -- just cut it up.

You would put what people say on yahoo into your 8 month old babies mouth?

Poor kid, if you're really not a bright enough person to know what food to feed a baby go to the pediatrician and ask for advice or get a book or something.

You would need to ask his pediatrician. Why just go with what people on yahoo say?
