How will a Visa card protect me (vacation rental)?
I will be booking a rental through VBRO today. I'm using a Visa card. I know that Visa protects me from fraudulent charges, but will they cover me if the rental is an absolute dump when I arrive? I have checked the owners in every way I can, I have researched Visa, but all I can find are people saying credit cards protect you with vacation rentals. No real explanation on HOW they protect you.

1. When one makes payment for vacation rental by credit card, while the credit card company can't help one to fix any problems at vacation home, one can dispute any charges with them. Be sure to document the problems that you have with your vacation home--photos are a good idea--to help your credit card company in an investigation.
