Don't you just love it when some lame brain shows their ignorance by giving a thumbs down?

It doesn't bother me anymore, Dan B. I'm over it. The way I see it is, I gave a better answer than he who gave me the thumb down and the sumbitch is just a jealous f*cktard. No biggie. I feel that the more thumbs down I get, the better job I do... imagine getting half a dozen thumbs down on a perfectly good and legitimate and truthful and well though-out answer. It's in that moment when you realize the thumbs up/thumbs down system is total bullshit.

Like I said, I'm over it.

Some will do it to try and make their answer look better than the others. What is messed up is I have seen people choose an answer that has received the most thumbs up and some of these answers weren't accurate. A few of these people even said this answer had the most thumbs up and that tells me it has to be the right answer.

The one thing that is worse than getting thumbs down is having a person with multiple accounts report an answer and have it removed. Sure you can appeal it, but by the time anything is done the question is usually resolved.

I can't understand why people answer questions haphazardly or poorly , much less, give thumbs down. Dan, I have the same thumbs down principles you have- I only thumbs down when absolutely necessary. In fact, I give thumbs up to people even if I know their answer is only 40% complete or generally incomplete- there effort is appreciated, (if only by me).

But, like "GMB" has stated- I've gotten used to it. Jealousy, idiocy, people with no manners is "the norm" not the exception. It's a shame. (And years ago, when there WAS no thumbs it was a much better forum)

And, recall, many of the users in YAnswer's are 12-24 Yrs of age, (with 12-19 making up the majority). Immaturity can run rampant.....

The irony?? Many of our regulars (in Fishing) are younger folk and they typically act much more mature than their age.......

I am proud to call those younger people friends. There are only a few people on here I trust and that always give 100% when answering a Q- you are one of them. Your answer's and stories are well-liked and superb! Superb I say! There are only a handful that take the time- you are #1 in my book, Bro.

"GMB" gets my vote for BA.

I give "thumbs-up" to answers that were well thought-out and deserving. Other than that, I don't pay any attention to that function.

If people want to give answers a thumbs down for no reason, I say fuq 'em.

Sometimes it makes me so mad I could spit . I get up and start yelling as I stomp around the room, throwing things and clearing off whole table tops . Then I sit down and rest because my wife will be home soon and I have to get all this cleaned up before then . I hope I don't get another thumbs down ever again .

Theres more to life than getting thumbs ups on a internet site! Makes no difference to me how many thumbs down I get because the advice I give here works for me! Everyone has differant methods and is entitled to their opinion. What works for one may not work for others. I love Crankbaits GMB does not. I respect that because what he uses works for him! a lot of guys here like plastics and fly fishing I do not. It quite frankly bores me. big lake and salt water fishing bores me, I would much rather catch Bass and Pike all day long at my local fishing hole. The northeast IMO is the place to fish! Others perfer southern waters. You see everyone has preferences, mine differ from yours. No biggie! Just keep on keeping on, fish in ways you like to! Use what works for you! If my advice isn't for you then don't take it! Whatever floats your boat, tomorrow I will still be fishing whether I get thumbs down or up I will still be saying Fish On! Don't worry about it Dan it's all good!

Who even knows who does those and who cares. I feel like yahoo has computers to do it at this point. Another user even emailed me cause he was confused why I was getting so many random thumbs down along with me.
