Question about Home owners insurance.?

I have not had the opportunity to look at my policy, as I am currently traveling and do not have it handy. However, what is the likely hood of my home owners insurance covering some work that needs to be done on my home? I have some electrical issues that need to be address, some plumbing issues and a garage roof that has some leaks. Am I just pissing in the wind thinking about this? Or could my policy cover the repairs?

Homeowners insurance NEVER covers upgrades or maintenance. It's up to you to maintain your own house.

Additionally, failure to properly maintain your house, can cause coverage issues.

As a homeowner, it's up to YOU to keep your house in good repair. You just have to do stuff to it regularly! That's part of home ownership, and you need to budget for it!

Yes, you are getting all wet.

Insurance does not cover maintenance or upgrading issues.
