  • Question about Home owners insurance.?

I have not had the opportunity to look at my policy, as I am currently traveling and do not have it handy. However, what is the likely hood of my home owners insurance covering some work that needs to be done on my home? I have some electrical issues that need to be address, some plumbing issues and a garage roof that has some leaks. Am I just pissing in the wind thinking about this? Or could my policy cover the repairs?

  • Locking Window Focus in windows 7?

Is there an option that can be set so another program does not steal the window focus in windows 7? An example, while working in a word document or excel spreed sheet, if my outlook alerts of a new message it will steal the focus from what ever I am working on. This creates problems while typing or entering in data in a cell. I would really like to set it so no matter what happens in the back ground, I maintain the focus on the window I am working on. Thanks for the help.

  • I have a question about an old XT computer?

Ok people, I need the old timers who know DOS and the old 8088 Hardware to help me out on this one. What I need to do is pull 40 Megs of data from an old RLL drive and store it on my current system. The XT is running dos 6.22 the Parallel ports and Serial ports still work. The modem for it still works. I have thought about using the parallel cable and moving it that way, However there are incompatibilities between the software and interfaces. I don't have an 8 bit IDE controller to attach an IDE drive not that it would make a difference as the 8088 codec does not support it. So I need some solutions as to how I can move this data. I can’t do it with floppy as it only supports 360K format. I thought about going the route of the modem, but I don’t have enough space left on the drive to archive the data in to one file. So you’re seeing my problem here. Let me know what you can think of, I'm drawing blanks any more.

  • Question about digital radios?

I would like to know if there is a digital tuner that can be placed in line with the existing factory radio for cars. I have had a number of clients ask about this and I have been unable to locate any information on the subject other then the FCC and why they want digital signals. If someone has information on where I can get in line receivers or what can be done let me know. many of my clients don't like the idea or removing the old radio to install an after market. a lot of it has to do with the controls on the dash and steering wheels. Thanks for you help.

  • Question about Zero Ice Policy?

Ok, so the state I live in, the State has a Zero Ice policy as well as some of the cities. This policy states that all major highways, freeways, and major roads be free of ice. My question is this, if an accident occurs because of ice, would the people involved have a case against the city or state as it is a policy of that city or state to have no ice on the roads? My co-workers and I where talking about this yesterday while it was snowing. So it's just more of a thought then anything.

Ok, so some friends and I where talking about this the other night and the thought came up, Who would be in charge if something happened to Obama and Biden before they where Sworn in? for example, both are on a jet to Washington and something happens on the plane like a bad seal or something that causes all on board be lost. who then would be in control? I thought it would fall to the speaker of the house, but none of us could really nail it down. Some insight would be nice. Thanks.

  • Excel Masters?

I need to develop an Excel formula that will allow me to take an amount and be able to have it display how much something would double in a certain amount of time. For example, I take a penny, and see how it would double every day. So for the first day it would be 1 cent the next it would be 2 and the third day it would be 4 and so on and so forth for a set amount of time. If you know how I can do this, please post the formula. Thanks.

Doug and Dave have 2 Distinctly different race cars. The 2 car are completely equal on the track when it comes to over all speed on the track. However the two drivers notice a difference in the times when they look at the time sheet. Doug’s car appears to be 1 tenth of a second slower then Dave’s car. When they ask the owner of the track why this is, the owner said it has to do with the design of the car. What is it about the two cars that makes the difference in the times?

  • Riddle Me this.?

You are driving in a car at a constant speed. On your left side is a 'drop off', (The ground is 18-20 inches below the level you are traveling on), and on your right side is a fire engine traveling at the same speed as you. In front of you is a galloping horse, which is the same size as your car and you cannot overtake it. Behind you is a galloping zebra. Both the horse and zebra are also traveling at the same speed as you. What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation?

  • I just can't take it anymore.?

Anyone know why Dairy products are on the rise? in the course of 2 months milk cheese and other dairy products have increased almost 2 dollars. at the start of the summer we where able to get 2 gallons of milk for 5 dollars. now we are lucky to get 1 gallon for 4 dollars. Is this government regulations, which is causing the dairy farmers to produce less? Or are there fewer dairy farms available to produce the product? if anyone has any information, Please let me know. I have to start making a decision about rather or not to continue to by dairy products. just can afford it anymore.

I would like it if you listed your sources of information so I can look at it as well. Thanks.
