I'm looking for games like Age of Empires?

Question

I remember playing games like it when I was a teenager, but I can't remember the names anymore. Please no online rts. I can't stand those games. Takes forever to do anything, but I do want strategy. Simulation games are welcome.

I like Age of empires too, that game that you're talking about is probably Command and Conquer Generals, same as Age of empires but just with technology and more advanced strategies. Or it could Age of Mythology

The rise of nations game is amazing i play for hours every day but i recommend thrones and patriots since it has more content than the original one.The third one is a fantasy and it is called rise of legends if you want a strategy game i would look at rise of nations throne and patriots and rise of legends.These have campaigns like napoleon in thrones and patriots and go up to the cold war and you can play a quick battle with an ai and it has a wide variety of choices for nations each with their own special units to battle with and bonus for resources.
