My guinea pig had poo stuck in his butt?
The other day I noticed a big black lump stuck in my male Guinea pig's butt. I waited a day to see if he would push it out. When he didn't, I picked him up to look. It was like 3 or 4 pellets stuck together. I pulled it off and it wasn't solid on the inside, it was like a casing. I didn't see anything else, and then I soaked him in warm water for a little bit. Has anyone else had something like this happen? I want to know if he will continue to poo normally now, or if I should bring him in. ( I currently only have 50 dollars to my name, so I really want to know how serious this is before I take medical action ) He is still acting the same as far as I can tell. Eating, running around.. begging for treats.

He has an impaction and you will need to keep it clear for him. This is where the muscles of the anus stop working properly so he can not empty his poo properly. You are going to have to do this for him ever 2 days of so and as long as you do he will live a very normal pain free life.If you do not he will live in high pain and it can even affect how he walks.
Feel around his anus about 1/2" out with your finger tip, you should feel a large lump. Push down and toward the anus opening, do this all around the anus, you should push out a huge stinky ball of poo the size of a ping pong ball. You will need to bathe his bum area with Johnson's baby shampoo and blow dry it with a hair dryer held 12" away from him on low heat.

Make sure he has PLENTY of water and fiber in his diet. If you don't know how, look it up. Do some research to find the best guinea pig diets.
He should be OK if you get his diet right. Good luck.

He sounds impacted. As unpleasant as they might be, make sure you keep up with routine boar cleanings. If you do, this shouldn't require medical attention.

Male guinea pigs are prone to impaction. This is when their poop gets stuck. You have to clean him out everyday as his muscles are too weak for him to push it out himself. If you clean it out for him everyday it will be fine but if left he can become very unwell.

This is NOT natural; Get him to the vet as soon as possible, or he could seriously get sick
