Good time to plant morning glories?

I started morning glories Monday and this is what they look like today. I'm planning on planting them in a pot on my porch. I wanted to know when is the best time to plant them. When the root gets longer or when the leaves begin to sprout? I used the paper towel and ziplock bag method if you can't tell

    Your seeds look fantastic!

I think you should be able to put these into soil now but keep them moist. Push them about a centimetre down and lightly cover with more soil.

I would also use some potting mix first before you plant them out in the garden where the soil may be more compacted. Let them establish into seedling size plants before transplanting them.

I have morning glory seeds too and I'm going to try your method to grow them. Seems you have been very successful. I have to wait a few months yet though as I'm coming into winter soon and don't want to raise them until next Spring.

They can't take frost. So if they're in a container, you can bring them back in on a night that will be too cold. Otherwise, it's safe to plant in the ground once your danger of frost is passed.
