What are we waiting for ? in regards to fiscal cliff , North Korea , immigration , gay marriage , gun laws ?

The ultra rich pay for the Congressmen and women and Senators' campaigns. Most of our politicians are millionaires themselves or are on the fast track to become one. The ultra rich own corporations, the media, and politicians. No politician will bite the hand that feeds them, so no laws taxing the ultra rich anytime soon, at least not until we get corporate money out of politics and have publicly funded elections instead of what we have now: he who has the collected the most money wins.

The problem with "taxing the ultra rich" is that you are basically engaging in blatant theft. Everybody should be paying their "fair share," but Obama's way is FAR from fair. The only fair way is to have EVERYBODY paying the same percent or rate.

The fact that the Democrats had two years of total control and still wouldn't do a budget shows what they're made of, however, and that balancing the budget is of no concern to them. All they want is more and more control over the daily, private lives of citizens (or subjects in their eyes.)
