Java is impossible to download?
I have Vista on my laptop. I turned the firewall off. I followed all instructions as stated on Oracle website including uninstalling old Java. I still have a problem in downloading Java 7.
When using Chrome, a message appears "Fail virus detected"
When I use Firefox, It downloads but when I go to the download box it does not respond when I click twice.
Your help is appreciated.

The Problem is with the Operation System "Vista" has so many Issues ,I think the best Solution for your case is, to Format your Laptop and Install Windows 7 ...I think Win.7 is the best ,I have Win.8 and I hate it .
One more note: use Firefox ...

Sounds like you have malware issues. Unless you're a gamer, I would format and install Ubuntu. Just yesterday I watched an XP box trying to boot, it took 25 minutes to run the virus scan and then the virus scanner said the free version was no longer valid.
There is no malware protection for Windows.
