Shipping from USA to Canada?

ok so I am currently selling something and I'm In the us. the guy lives in Canada. do I just put the item I'm shipping in the mailbox or do I have to goto the post office and pay to get it shipped?

    You should be planning how it will be shipped before you put anything online to sell. You could be in for quite a surprise when you go to send it. If you know how much it weighs in the container you plan to send it in you can go to USPS.com and calculate the cost. They will ask for the weight and the outside dimensions of the box. There is only air service to Canada. If it weighs more than a few pounds, you could be looking at $30 to $100 to send it. UPS and FedEx have similar rates and services.

    For packages, shipping to Canada, or anywhere, you must take it to a post office. It is not possible to put packages in the mailbox for the mailman, unless its a small envelope.

    You need to take it to the post office to be weighed and get the correct postage for it.
