Can someone help with a connection problem with Acer Aspire 5349 please?
Two of us are trying to use my apartment building's wireless Internet. One computer we're using is an Acer Aspire 5349 and the other an Aspire 5920. The 5920 connects to the Internet just fine, but the 5349 can't. It just gives the message "DNS Server not responding". The building's wireless router has also been reset to fix other problems it's having.

It may be that your DNS cache needs flushed.
Go to Command Prompt (assuming you are using Windows 7 or earlier:
Start > Run> type 'cmd' minus quotes.
Then enter the command:
ipconfig /flushdns
You could also try clearing your browser cache if that doesn't work.

My answer Is "both" computers the 5349 and the 5920 " SHOULD " be displaying " Identical " DNS Server information in the tab labled DNS server Information. Make sure this is the case, since they are supposed to be using the " SAME " router. so write down the displayed information on the DNS bit on the 5920 and " enter " It into the same displayed Information on the 5349. this SHOULD clear up your connection Issues with the machine that cant connect to the Internet.
