Help! I love the name Maisie, but...?

I love Maisie (pronounced Mayz-ee), but my parents have a cat called Macy (May-see). Is this a problem?

No, of course not. First of all, it's not even your cat, so the baby won't be around it 24/7, therefore it won't get too confusing. Plus, the names aren't even the same. Yes, they sound and look alike, but there is a difference. Also, I hate to say this, but someday sooner than your baby, your cat will go to kitty heaven, probably around when your baby is younger. Don't worry, it'll be fine.

    Yeah...

Maisie is a very cute name, but it doesn't age well, so it's probably a good idea to do this anyway; give this child a "base" name, like May or Margaret and then make Maisie a nickname.

If you have May as the name and Maisie as the nickname, you're sorted!

Alternatively, it's a gorgeous name and its shouldn't be a problem!

    Best Wishes :) x
