how to graph sine and cosine graphs?

How would I graph 3cos4x ? Given the number line 90 degress 180 degress, 270 degress , 360 degress 450 degress, 540 degress on the x axis can someone please explain where would I put each dot on the y axis above the pts to then connect all the pts and draw the curve. Thanks !

    If you know what a cos graph looks like first draw that. If not simply put the x co-ordinates into your calculator.

    The 3 means that all the y co-ordinates are multiplied by 3, so instead of going from -1 to 1 the y axis will go from -3 to 3. Now deal with the 4x, this means there will be 4 times as many cycles than on the original graph.
