Atheists, what do you think of Christians providing relief to 3rd world contries in the name of evangelism?

That's fine and dandy.

I don't have anything against religion. I have something against religion in politics and in people's pants.

What Christians claim to do and what they actually do are two entirely different things. Haiti is still waiting on the relief promised by "oh so wonderful Christians."

If they just provided relief and left it at that, I would applaud them. However, what usually happens is that aid comes along with a healthy dose of brainwashing and religious indoctrination, which is actually quite sinister and disgusting.

Make them listen to your interminable preaching and singing before they get any food!

Well hey, if I were desperate for cash I'd accept bills smeared with excrement. But, like most individuals I'd prefer it sans crap.

It sucks, but if those people won't donate through secular organizations, I guess it's better than nothing.
