Why not? We are not obsessed with color and gender. Judging from your question, I would say that you are.

Joe Biden in 2016. Only once since 1952 has one of the candidates not been a sitting president or vice president and that was 2008 because Dick Cheney did not run. (President Eisenhower ran in 1956, Vice President Nixon ran in 1960, President Johnson ran in 1964, Vice President Humphrey ran in 1968, President Nixon ran in 1972, President Ford ran in 1976, President Carter ran in 1980, President Reagan ran in 1984, Vice President Bush ran in 1988, President Bush ran in 1992, President Clinton ran in 1996, Vice President Gore ran in 2000, President Bush ran in 2004, and President Obama ran in 2012.) I would be very surprised if Biden did not run and he is a white male. He certainly would get the support of Obama who is still very popular among Democrats. Hillary mania is now, but in the end I think it will be Biden.

Is this the primary fear of Republican rightwingers---that one person of color spells doom for ol' white guys? Last I looked, Hillary Clinton (our preference for the 2016 election) is Caucasian, although she is indeed female. That takes care of at least 8 years before this becomes an issue. After Hillary is done with her years in the White House, then perhaps we nation-saving Democrats might choose another best-candidate, no matter what color the skin.

I don't care as long as its someone runs worth voting for. So far the Republicans seen to be having the same problem.

For decades now the Republican Party has been trying to label the Democratic Party as 'the party of black people'. It doesn't serve them well anymore.

F*** no. We are going to take over what the white males have started and we are going to perfect what they had started and us minorities are going to make this country even better.
