    (2,6) (5,15)

    15 - 6. 9

    ------

    5 - 2. 3

    9/3 = 3/1 or 3

    Now, substitute:

    y=mx+b

    y = 6

    x = 2

    m = 3

    6=3(2)+b

    6=6+b

    b = 1

    Final Equation:

    y=3x+1

    y = mx + b m = slope b = y-intercept a million. y = (a million/2)x + b 4 = (a million/2)6 + b 4 = 3 + b a million = b y = (a million/2)x + a million 2. initiating = (0, 0) y = 5x + b 0 = 5(0) + b 0 = 0 + b 0 = b y = 5x 3. m = (a million - 7) / (6 - 6) = -6 / 0 = undefined slope undefined slope potential vertical line and the equation for a vertical line is x=?, in view that the two factors use 6 via actuality the x, it is the equation: x = 6

    m = (15 - 6) / (5 - 2)

    m = 9 / 3

    m = 3

    y - y1 = m(x - x1)

    y - 15 = 3(x - 5)

    or

    y - 6 = 3(x - 2)
