Growing veggies in pots?

I don't have a place where I can dig up a plot to plant veggies, and I have grown tomatoes in a pot, but what other things could i grow? Green onions seem likely, but what about lettuce? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Tomatoes and peppers can do well in pots. Bush cucumbers, zucchini and other nonvining or nonclimbing plants should do just as well. I wouldn't try root vegetables but broccoli, cabbage and brussels sprouts are worth trying. I know several people who grow lettuce and other greens in window boxes. The long, narrow shape of the planter seems to work well for those plants. If you have room to let the vines sprawl you can grow winter squash, pumpkins and vining cucumbers in pots. If you grow green onions try a bunching onion. These do not form bulbs. Leeks are another possibility for a window box.

Anything that grows vertically and has reasonably shallow roots. Peppers of any form, tomatoes in larger pots, and you'll have to use cages with these, probably you might are attempting chard and lettuces, maybe even cabbage like things when the temp is cooler. You would are attempting okra too. I'd try to prevent any sort of tuber, like beets or potatoes, until you provide a very big pot. A very quality natural snail/ pillbug/ ant/ other worm deterrent is referred to as Sluggo. Which you could also scan with orange oil, simply be sure to dilute it. I'd suggest you purchase an organic compost to fertilize, and a natural and organic potting soil marked for veggies.

Many plants can you be had in patio verities, also called bush type plant developed for your situation, they include beans (peas), hot and sweet peppers and many tomato plants, also try carrots, they grow great in loose potting soil as long as you keep them properly watered and don't wait to long to harvest, just jet a good fertilizer like fox farm "grow big" and a bloom fert when the flowers start showing.

Vine beans are good to grow. Root vegetables I would stay away from. Any plant plant that can take heat from being in pots should be ok

you could grow strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, any herbs. depending on the size of the pot you could grow a lot of vegetables.
