God put this system in place in order for humans to produce children, so using it for other purposes, and removing its two purposes (unification of two spouses and procreation) is a grave offense. I definitely understand how strong the temptation can be, but whenever you feel the desire to commit this act, ask the intercession of Mary and Joseph, and you'll be able to overcome it. Ask God to remove the desire to do it. Remember, Satan tempts us in all kinds of crazy ways, and this is just one of them. Now with most sin, you should stay and battle with the sin, and overcome it. But in this case, since we as men are very weak as far as control of our sexuality, run. Do whatever you can to get yourself away from the temptation. Satan knows that men are very easy to corrupt sexually, so he will throw temptation after temptation at you. Run away from the temptation.

That is still masturbation. So by the tenants of your faith it's still in violation. It sucks, but that's how it is. If you want sexual pleasure the only permissible way in Catholicism is for the sole purpose of procreation.
