YouTube Counter Stuck? How to fix?
Someone and I recently posted a video each. It was advertised and people have watched it, but his counter hasn't increased and I actually LOST 11 viewers, according to the counter. It seems odd to me and I can't find info about it online, other than for new users (I am not a new user and have over 160 posted videos). What happened?

They are removing any views earned that are for videos that are not currently publicly available in your YouTube or Google+ Channel. So video viewcounts for deleted, disabled, private and unlisted videos are not and will no longer be included.

They also had a bug where they attributed too many views from mobile sources. They are removing those views too.
Note that artificially inflated views, duplicate views, etc., have always been subject to removal.
