Would you vote for this candidate?

A candidate for U.S. Senate in your state, registered as an Independent, gives this speech:

"It's a Senator's job to represent his constituency, and in the electronic age, it's a shame we're not doing that more efficiently. I have talked to computer security experts and come up with a secure way for every eligible voter in this state to register with my website. Whenever any issue comes up for a vote in the Senate, I will put it directly to you, the voters, as far in advance as possible. Then, I will cast my vote in whatever way the voters of this state decide. I do not represent any political party, and my only job will be to simply show up and support whatever this state's citizens have told me to support."
