Can someone explain this quote from chapter 40 of pride and prejudice?

"There certainly was some great mismanagement in the education of those two young men. One has got all the goodness, and the other all the appearance of it." - Elizabeth Bennett

I'm not sure how to explain this and I'm doing this for a project, I need a little help :P, thanks!

Hi! It's saying one man (Darcy) was really a nice person who was everything being a gentleman called for. They just didn't see it because of his "pride." and because of his distant personality. The other, (Wickham) had a nice way of speaking, a silver tongue (the nice way and silver tongue are different), and looked like a clean cut gentleman. He seemed to be the perfect guy who was treated badly by Darcy. But he really was a money grubbing cad. Hope this helped!

    This quote is basically saying:

Those two men were 2 very different people. One was well taught or a good guy.

The other man simply just looked attractive.
