  • How do I write this properly?

I'm writing an essay about the Odyssey and I want to say that Odysseus felt a lot of pride after he escapes from the Cyclops. I want to say something along the lines of "he was hit with an excessive amount of pride" or "surge of pride", but I don't know if it's written correctly because it sounds weird. Please help? :)

  • Who to compare Leonardo da Vinci to?

I have a history project where I have to compare a ancient historical figure to a modern historical figure, and the person I got for ancient historical figure is Leonardo da Vinci, but I'm having trouble thinking of someone modern to compare him to. I was thinking maybe someone who is fickle since Leonardo da Vinci was an extremely fickle person. Any help will be appreciated :D thx

Oh by the way, it's ok if the person is not an artist or scientist, but it will help.

  • Is my hypothesis supported?

I did an experiment for my science fair project, and it's about whether electromagnetic fields affect the speed of growth of bean plants. My hypothesis was that if there are electromagnetic fields, the speed of growth would increase. My experiment shows that it does affect the speed of growth but only germination. Does that still count as supporting my hypothesis?

  • Project on Cornell University?

I'm doing a project about colleges and I'm researching Cornell University. For one section I'm supposed to find like the requirements (GPA, SAT score, courses you should take in high school, and any extracurricular activities needed). I tried looking them up of course and looked through the website, but I can't find anything on it. I only got the GPA and SAT score, but don't know if it's correct. ( GPA: 3.7 or higher; SAT/ACT Score: 1350 or higher) So my question is what are the requirements needed to get into Cornell University?

Also, even if no specific extracurricular activities are required, what are some examples of activities that could help you get into the university?

And what role do magnetic fields play in how mechanical energy is used to produce electrical energy? Sorry I think this should be an easy answer, but I'm not sure how to explain it. All I know is that as the coil of wire spins in the magnet in a generator, the magnetic field changes. And there's something else to it... plz help -_-'
