Installing an Xbox 250gb hard drive?
I just got my new hard drive today, I'm upgrading my Xbox from the standard 4gb model, I've inserted the hard drive but it doesn't seem to be working, I was wondering is there any action needed to be taken from the dashboard? Any help would be great!!

As long as you plugged it in properly in the slot that's all you have to do.
Is this an official Xbox Microsoft hard drive?

When I added the new 250gb hd to my sons all I did was unplug the system then stick the new hardrive in its slot. When I plugged it back in and turned it on them checked the settings it automatically detected it. From there my som was able to download games and move stored data back and forth between the hd and system drive.

You need to press it in till it clicks, then restart your system maybe. Also it need to be a Microsoft one. :)
