Why does the Facebook window pop up every time I submit an answer today 4/12/2013?
It's annoying.

Yes, imagine that someone or something has checked all of our share Facebook boxes.. Hmm wonder who? So, uncheck that box and you'll be good to go.

After you click 'Answer Question' and write your response, before you click 'Submit' on the bottom, uncheck the box that says 'Also share this as an update to: Facebook' and then hit 'Submit.' That annoying Facebook pop up won't show up and Yahoo will remember your settings so it won't pop up again the next time you answer a question either for the rest of the time you are logged in.
I have yet to log out though and clear my computer's cookies, so it's possible that the next time I log in, I will have the uncheck the box again but as I said, once you uncheck it while being logged in, it will remember your settings and you won't get the pop up again for the remaining amount of time you are logged in.

I've read elsewhere that it's a glitch. Seems like a pretty well-planned (and annoying) glitch if you ask me.
But look at the line just about the "Submit" and "Preview" buttons when you're answering a question. There is a line there that says "Also share this as an update to [ ] [f]." I unchecked this box once, and so far on subsequent answers it has remained unchecked, and the Facebook pop-up hasn't come back.
I've yet to determine if I'll have to do this every time I log in on Y!A, but at least so far it looks like unchecking it once per log-in is doing the trick of keeping this irritating trick in abeyance.

When submitting an answer, there is a checkbox just above the Submit button, labeled "Also share this as an update to [facebook logo]." Uncheck that box before submitting the answer.
If you're one of the lucky ones, Y!A will remember your preference next time. But that doesn't seem to work for everybody. So if you are a Firefox (or Pale Moon) user, see this link for a solution that keeps the box unchecked.

Hopefully the Y!A engineers will come back to work on Monday, see the flap they've created, and fix this annoying bug/feature.

I get the same thing. I guess they know when you have facebook and they are trying to spread the word by you putting the app on facebook so others will know more about your questions and answers and know where they can go to get questions and answers.

It's happening to me, too, and I really hate it. It makes me not want to visit Yahoo Answers at all.
