How do I get Yahoo to stop trying to force me to link my account to Facebook?
I want that popup window to go away forever. How do I do that?
Thanks! It was so simple, of course I couldn't figure it out.
And to add my two cents: I went to Facebook to see if deleting the Yahoo app on that side would fix the problem, but I apparently didn't/don't have the Yahoo app on Facebook. So that didn't help. I unchecked the Facebook checkbox a few times (after several times of forgetting to do it), and it seems like Yahoo is finally taking the hint.

Down by where you click SUBMIT, untick the box that says: Also share this as an update to: Facebook. That should fix it for you. If it doesn't remember that preference after the first couple of times you untick it, clear cache, cookies and temp files, restart the device and it should be fine.

User "Isabel" gave me this answer when I asked the same question earlier. I gave her BA. She neglected to say you have to let Y!A "post" one answer on your timeline before it works.
---------------------------
If you click the X in the upper right corner of the post on your timeline, it will give you the option to revoke publishing rights for Yahoo. Then, go to privacy settings on facebook, select apps, and then go to the list of apps and you'll see Yahoo - click the X on the right of that one too, and that will remove the Yahoo app from facebook. I just did it and it works fine now. Ticks me off when they do things without warning.
EDIT: You don't have to do it for each question, leave YA and GO to facebook and remove the post from the timeline and then remove the app.

There is a line with a checkbox,
Also share this as an update to [] f
where "[]" is a check box and "f" is the facebook icon, just above the "Submit" and "Preview" buttons. It comes up checked. If you uncheck it, you don't get the facebook popups. Earlier today I had to uncheck it EVERY time I answered a question. Right now it is staying unchecked.

yahoo is clicking the facebook share as a default now, and I'm pissed off .
I don't think the suggestion above will work, and I'm not unchecking that box everytime either.
I don't have facebook so there's no reason to go to facebook to change the preference there.
I'm going to check to see if they've changed a setting in the profile here on yahoo and try to prevent this from happening.
I hate facebook and get pissed when they do things like this.
