How could i get a tourist visa for yemen?
I am seriously considering visiting yemen. I know it is listed as dangerous, but I am not concered with that. I just would like to know how to go about getting a tourist visa so i have legal permission to visit. Does anybody know what process i would have to go through in order to obtain one?

Ive been there twice and had a wonderful time. You most likely wont be able to go to the Eastern part of the country without an armed govt escort. But you can visit Sanah, and Aden. Go to the Yemeni embassy website and download and fill out the application. I can recommend a hotel in Sanah if you like...just p-message me. I also know 2 very honest tour guides in the old town of Sanah. I use them each time I go.

You need a very knowledgeable guide who can guarantee your safety. If you are going to be in Sana'a or Aden, it will be easier than North Yemen, which is a world away from the wannabe cosmopolitans of the Capital.
STAY OUT of the isolated rural desert areas and you should be OK. NOTE: Several non-Muslim tourist groups have been fleeced for their possessions not far from the Capital. WATCH WHAT YOU DO!
Other than that, I've heard Yemen is a beautiful, hot country with a lot to see. If I give you my address, could you send me some frankincense? The Hadrahmaut region is famous since the time of the Ancient Romans for this. Good luck and be safe!
