Summer Babysitting Rates?

Really difficult to say. Presuming you do not have to prepare meals or clean and that you will be transported by the parents; anywhere from 11 dollars an hour to 15 per hour? Family 1 only has one child so perhaps a little less than Family 2 which is more difficult than Family 3 because 3 yr olds require more skills. Of course all of this is dependent upon each individual child 's nature since some three yr olds are easier than an 8 yr old who is troublesome.!I would definitely confirm Family 3 hours so you are not wondering. Tell them you have other jobs so will need to know to the nearest hour. Then put in writing ( either in email or letter) Thank you and this is to confirm that I will be working 5 hours as we agreed at x rate beginning these dates ______to August?,

If it is in writing there will be no questions or problems later on knowing what is expected of you. You are going to be very popular and begged to work more so be prepared and first plan when you will be on your OWN vacation . Or single out a time after which you will not be working.

I presume you know emergency situations such as choking, falls etc and have emergency numbers always listed by parents ( pediatrician, etc)
