Can you dry clothing using the oven?

I have a fan-forced oven.

It's been raining for the last week.

I have things I need to wash and I only have one clean pair of socks left.

Is it possible to dry clothes using the oven?

What happens when you use the microwave?

I have an iron, but it just heats up the water in the clothing.

Thanks.

Don't use the oven! Or the microwave! That's a HUGE NO-NO! If you really need to dry clothes, and it's raining, and you don't have a machine clothes dryer, I suggest hanging clothes up on the shower rack or something.

You need to be careful if you try using the oven to dry clothes. You can air dry clothes by hanging them on hangers and put then on the shower rod. Also for heavy socks place then in front of the refrigerator on the floor. The fan blows the excess air out the bottom of it.
